This month was my son’s birthday. My son chose this restaurant which you will find at the end of this post. I usually will not enter this type of restaurant because I am not a big fan of hamburgers. I must admit that this restaurant has unique Eats I did not see anywhere else. It begins with macaroni balls as an appetizer. I must admit I was pleasantly surprised.

 

These macaroni balls are fried with breadcrumbs, and they come with a velvety cheese sauce that has a bit of a kick. The whole appetizer was served warm. The macaroni cheese balls were a bit crunchy on the outside but not too much and melt in the mouth tender inside. You take a bite on the outside and waiting with anticipation to the surprise that is inside. Then it hits you with yummy cheesy mouthwatering tenderness simply melting in your mouth like Lindt chocolate. It felt like a warm blanket that makes you feel such comfort and love as if you are tucked to sleep by a loved one or being cuddled by a lover. It made me feel soft. The combination is quite interesting with the crunchiness on the outside and melt in the mouth yummy cheesiness on the inside and then waking me up with a kick of the sauce and continues to be mouthwatering yummy and velvety. In addition, guess what…it came with Nacho chips. Love you Cocktail

"I Love you Cocktail", Just the name makes me want to drink it. The name of this drink caught my attention immediately. I was in the mood for a small drink. As a hopeless romantic this name called to me on the spot. What a wonderful original eye-catching name for a drink. It was irresistible to me.

 

The name exceeded my expectations, and the taste represents well the name of this drink. It is made of vodka, raspberries, lime, and some other secret ingredients. What I loved about it is the sweetness. Hey, I love sweet alcoholic drinks. It was a bit sour but not too much. The texture was a bit creamy, and it felt silky. I could feel the raspberries, the lime, the type of syrup they put and a bit of the vodka. It was dense a bit almost as if it had a bit of creaminess but not exactly, and light to drink.  The whole combination yelled “I love you”. It transported me to a loving comforting place. The glass is the type I love, triangular. I felt as if I was sitting on the beach near the sea with a hot lover and sipping this yummy drink.

 

Avocado Hamburger

The Avocado Hamburger is something so unique. I never saw such a combination anywhere. The Hamburger meat was tender and had a homemade taste. I could feel that the meat is quality meat. It came with avocado, Picco de Gallo sauce, mayonnaise, tomatoes and some other spices. The taste was out of this world. I had all the ingredients I love in a burger. It was served in a brioche with French Fries, a very unique pickle that was pink, sweet and sour at the same time. Apparently this pickle is only served in this restaurant and it is what brands their dishes from other restaurants. The pickle is pink color and apparently is made with a special juice powder u can find in stores that gives it this very special color and the taste is sweet and sour. There were French fries. I must admit I was not dying about the French fries. They were ordinary. It came with creamy coleslaw. The whole combination was so yummy, mouthwatering, delicious. Everything was tender and the mayo with avocado, tomatoes and Picco de Gallo gave this burger a unique angle to how to eat a burger. It was tender, creamy, a bit of tang. There was a bit of sweetness and sour a bit with the creaminess of the avocado, mayo, Picco de Gallo that made this burger creamy, juicy tender. It was like an explosion of flavor in the mouth that is hard to describe. I never thought to combine avocado with Hamburger. Did you? I love avocado, tomatoes, brioche, mayo and even Picco de Gallo with beef all together. I am in admiration of this creative idea; it is a brilliant invention. Let me tell you a secret…I am not a fan of Hamburger, I rarely eat one. This really made me explore more because they have more unique flavor combinations like this. They even have hamburger with goat cheese. I will go back and try others. They also have a Hamburger called slap me and if you don’t finish it you really get spanked. I am not kidding. Someone comes to spank you. This is unheard of. Please take it with a sense of humor because I believe that this burger is coming with a spank for fun not with ill intentions by adopting an adventurous spirit.

 

Origin and story of the restaurant

La Belle et La Boeuf restaurant is known for its finger licking food and its extravagant cocktail and beer menu. The name La Belle et La Bœuf was inspired by the owner by the love he has for his mother. He admires his mother for her strength to overcome life challenges and take care of him and his siblings in tough times by just being a simple teacher.  They were 5 children. He also was inspired by the strength and courage of his wife when she gave birth to his second child. He felt that both women were stronger than he was.  This is when the restaurant La Belle et La Boeuf was born in the honor of all mothers. He feels that without his mother he is nothing, La belle. His mother and wife never complain about anything, she knows how to overcome obstacles with courage, strength, and grace, she gave birth to him, she is always there in the worst moments of his life which she is what he calls: La Boeuf is him not as strong as his mother. It is a Quebec French expression.

The owner created an atmosphere that is permanent open to people of all environments, social circles, and statuses. The restaurant has a unique and warm décor, a bit rustic. They have created unique tasty combinations of burgers, potatoes, cheeses, avocado and many other combinations of ingredients and flavors. Year after year they are considered the number one choice for the best burgers.

The ingredients they use are 100% natural. They also stand out for the mixology of their drinks and are considered the first restaurant to start this concept and influenced other restaurants around the country to do the same.

This restaurant offers you an atmosphere of cocktails and food at a high level, but they also offer a unique experience that goes beyond drinking and eating. They offer events regularly and includes a sports bar, and various contests.

Another interesting fact is that the owner has much more restaurants in Laval and Montreal. There are more restaurant locations for this one in Montreal as well since it is a Franchise.

This giant cookie is super delicious. It is soft, warm, chocolaty and super yummy. It goes so well with the ice-cream. It feels like you are transported into childhood but that u are eating cake. 

 

This is my son's favorite flavor so since it was a birthday I shared it with him. I usually don't go for this kind of dessert. I usually love white creamy cakes or cakes that are white with fruits. I must admit the fact that it is made in an iron skillet makes it more unique. It tastes something between a cookie and a cake. It transports me to my childhood in my mother's kitchen when she used to bake cakes. The smell is so comforting.
